El Llamado Mundial a la Acción contra la Pobreza (GCAP por las siglas en inglés) es una enorme coalición mundial de más de 100 países, integrada por una amplia gama de grupos comunitarios, coaliciones, sindicatos, organizaciones, particulares, grupos religiosos y activistas, todos comprometidos en la lucha contra la pobreza.
Sabemos que seremos más efectivos si trabajamos conjuntamente. No pretendemos estar completamente de acuerdo respecto a la políticas, pero sí queremos presionar a los gobiernos para que erradiquen la pobreza, reduzcan drásticamente la desigualdad y alcancen los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio.
- Responsabilidad publica con rendición de cuentas, gobierno justo y el respeto a los derechos humanos
- Justicia comercial
- Un incremento significativo en la cantidad y la calidad de la ayuda y de la financiación para el desarrollo
- Cancelación de la deuda
Exigimos que la igualdad de género sea un tema central en la erradicación de la pobreza.
Exigimos también que el respeto a los derechos de niños, jóvenes, mujeres y demás grupos excluidos, así como la garantía de su participación igualitaria, sea reconocido como elemento fundamental para la consecución de estos objetivos.
